,,Rising abruptly above the surroundings, isolated, it dominates the landscape, appearing as its leader and emblem. Nestled under the slopes of Rtanj, the most beautiful monasteries and churches in the Crnorečka region have found their sanctuary."
The Church of St. Archangel Gabriel, the former Lozica Monastery, is located approximately 3 kilometers southeast of the village of Krivi Vir, on the right bank of the Lozica River. There are no precise records of the year of the monastery's construction, but it is mentioned in Turkish records from 1455 and is dedicated to Archangel Gabriel.

According to tradition, the name [Lozica Monastery] was derived from the vine that covered it when locals discovered it. Some believers have testified to miracles and healings that occurred in this temple.
It was restored twice, in 1680 and 1850, and has been under the protection of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments since 1980.

Believers and all visitors can always light a candle or simply take a break on a bench under the old lime tree, enjoying the divine nature and the view of Rtanj. Today, the temple is only open on major holidays and on July 26, the monastery's feast day. Together with the surrounding monasteries such as Krepičevac, Lapušnja, and others, it forms a unified whole that can be explored through a one-day trip.
Near the former monastery, there are two powerful springs of fresh, drinkable water. One of them is located not far from the church itself, while the other, hidden in the forest, is less than a ten-minute walk away. Cold water gushes from the rock, and locals believe it has healing properties. That's why you can often see traces of wax candles or small coins left in the spring.
Another natural phenomenon in this area is the Buk waterfall, which appears in the spring when the snowmelt creates a strong torrent cascading down the surrounding rocks
